Cookie Policy
This website (hereinafter, the “Website”) uses cookies to improve the user’s browsing experience and to ensure that it works properly.
General information
In order to provide the user with a better and more personalised browsing experience, the Data Controller, as identified below, needs to store information on how the Website is used. This is done by means of so-called cookies.
Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information, sent by a website to the browser of the computer or other device used by the user, where they are stored and then sent back to the same website at each subsequent visit, so that the website can recognise the user, respond better to their requests and make browsing easier.
Each time the Website is used, personal data may be collected through the above-mentioned cookies and other technologies. This cookie notice should be read together with the privacy notice, which provides further information on the processing of users’ personal data.
Identity of the Data Controller
The Data Controller is Intermarine S.p.A., with registered office in Sarzana, Via Alta 100 – 19038 Sarzana (the “Controller”). The Controller can be contacted by telephone on +39 0187 617300, by registered letter sent to its registered office or by e-mail at: infoprivacy@intermarine.it.
The Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) appointed by the Controller pursuant to Articles 37 et seq. of the GDPR is Immsi Audit S.c.a.r.l. (represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Maurizio Strozzi).
The DPO can be contacted by telephone on +39 0376 24641, by post at: Piazza Vilfredo Pareto, 3 – 46100 Mantova, Italy, or by e-mail at: privacy@intermarine.it.
Where this notice refers to the “Intermarine S.p.A. Website” or the “Website”, it means the Intermarine S.p.A. web page at: https://www.intermarine.it/
What types of cookies does Intermarine use and for how long?
The Website uses technical cookies, used solely for the purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network (e.g. a website) or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user. Only with the user’s consent, the Website also uses third-party statistics cookies (Google Analytics) and displays external content (the Google Maps map on the contact page).
The cookies used by the Website include both Intermarine cookies (first-party cookies), as the operator of the Website, and third-party cookies, i.e. cookies set by other parties through the Website.
Strictly necessary cookies
The strictly necessary cookies used by Intermarine make it possible to save the user’s browsing session and are needed for the Website to work properly. These cookies are used in response to service requests made by the user, such as authentication to access restricted areas or storing the user’s cookie choices. They ensure normal browsing and use of the Website and do not require the user’s consent. The browser can be set to block these cookies, but some parts of the Website may then not work properly.
Specifically:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| tp_consenso | Intermarine (first party) | Stores the user’s cookie choices (acceptance, rejection or preferences), so that the banner is not shown again on every page. | 6 months |
| wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie | Intermarine (first party) | Only for authorised staff accessing the restricted area used to manage the Website: they keep the login session. | Session (up to 14 days if “Remember me” is selected) |
Statistics cookies (only with consent)
With the user’s consent, the Website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd, to collect aggregate information on the number of visitors and the pages visited, in order to improve the Website. Without consent these cookies are not set and Google Analytics is not loaded. More information: Google privacy policy.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics (third party) | Distinguishes visitors anonymously to calculate visit statistics. | 2 years |
| _ga_81DT1B5WBN | Google Analytics (third party) | Keeps the state of the visit session for statistics. | 2 years |
External content (only with consent)
The contact page may display a map provided by Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd). The map is loaded only if the user consents to external content or chooses to display it with the dedicated button; in that case Google receives the user’s IP address and may set its own cookies, in accordance with its privacy policy.
How can cookies be controlled?
Cookies can be controlled and managed in several ways, described in the following sections:
- Cookie settings;
- browser controls.
Deleting or blocking cookies may affect the user’s browsing experience and some parts of the Website may no longer be fully accessible. Strictly necessary cookies do not require the user’s prior consent; statistics cookies and external content are activated only after consent.
Cookie settings
On the first visit the Website displays a banner with the buttons “Accept all”, “Reject” and “Preferences”. Closing the banner with the “X” keeps only technical cookies active, as with “Reject”. With “Preferences” the user can choose the “Statistics” and “External content” categories separately. The choice is remembered for 6 months and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page of the Website.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to check which cookies have been set, to delete them individually or to block cookies from all or specific websites. Once all cookies have been deleted, any previously set preferences will be lost.
The browser can therefore be configured to accept or reject cookies, or to warn the user when a cookie has been sent. Every browser is different, so the configuration settings of the specific browser in use should be checked to manage cookie options.
External web services
In some cases Intermarine uses external web services on the Website, for example to display the map on the contact page (Google Maps, only with consent) and to protect the contact forms from spam (Cloudflare Turnstile, which does not set cookies on the Website). In these cases, Intermarine cannot prevent such parties from collecting information on the user’s activity. Users are therefore invited to consult the privacy notices of the individual third parties for information on how they process data.
Changes to the Cookie Policy
Intermarine may, at its discretion, periodically amend or correct this Cookie Policy. When such changes are made, Intermarine will update the revision date, and the changes to this Policy will apply to the user and to the processing of their personal data from the new date.

| 6 mesi |
È possibile controllare e gestire i cookie in diversi modi, illustrati nelle seguenti sezioni:
- impostazioni Cookie;
