Related to composite material production, fully equipped chemical and mechanical laboratories are available in the yard to achieve the maximum level of quality.
Intermarine is accredited according to the requirements of ISO 9001, and its Environmental Management System is certified in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001.

INTERMARINE is an Italian shipyard that develops, designs and produces vessels for defence and civil use.
Established as a shipyard specialized in the design and production of fibreglass ships, INTERMARINE was initially dedicated to the production of recreational crafts.
As early as 1970, when most ships made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester composite materials were relatively small, INTERMARINE recognized the potential of this material and began to research new formulations of resins and glass fibers, making them suitable for large-scale ship construction, as well as developing innovative construction methods, rapidly becoming a world leader in the field of composite shipbuilding, especially for mine countermeasures vessels.
The main feature of Intermarine is its ability to develop, design, build and test custom-made vessels.
Current production consists of anti-mine vessels, fast patrollers, hydrographic vessels, fast ferries.
Product design, innovation, research are the strength of INTERMARINE that together with the expertise and skill of its workers have allowed to optimize production processes for decades, ensuring a high level of QUALITY recognized worldwide.
The particular attention to ENVIRONMENTAL protection and the constant research in the reduction of environmental impacts are, not only, a prerequisite closely related to the production cycle, but they are also the due recognition towards the Ligurian and Sicilian territories that host INTERMARINE company settlements.
The care and passion in work also seeks to be a transmission of values in man and his abilities that translates into respect for the workers, protecting their health and safety.
Since 1996, INTERMARINE has adopted a Quality Management System later integrated with the Environmental one, according to the international standards ISO 9001, AQAP 2110 and ISO 14001 in the design and construction of vessels for its sites of Sarzana and Messina.
At both sites, it guarantees safe and healthy working environments thanks to a scrupulous compliance with the mandatory standards provided by D. Lgs. 81/08 and the adoption of safety procedures and high internal standards.
In addition, at Sarzana site, ISO 45001 standards have been implemented for the management of health and safety at work.
In accordance with this corporate philosophy, INTERMARINE’s principles are to provide products that meet the quality level, contractually defined, capable of meeting customer needs, increasingly safe and eco-friendly, in line with market requirements, to minimise the impact on the environment and to ensure a safe work place, with awareness not only towards its employees but also towards suppliers, customers and communities close to its companies.
Pursuing the principles listed above, INTERMARINE is committed to:
The Management therefore ensures its commitment and leadership to involve all the interested parties in its policy, to train, to raise awareness and empower its employees and partners to ensure that business processes are properly managed in order to achieve the best results in terms of quality, respect for the environment and health and safety of workers.
