QUALITY

Quality is a fundamental operating principle at Intermarine. The Quality Management System (QMS) is strictly enforced in all steps of design and construction of every vessel produced, be it in composite material or aluminum or steel, and of every equipment produced.
Related to composite material production, fully equipped chemical and mechanical laboratories are available in the yard to achieve the maximum level of quality.
Intermarine is accredited according to the requirements of ISO 9001, and its Environmental Management System is certified in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001.

Integrated Policy for Quality, Environment and Safety

It is Intermarine’s commitment to provide products compliant with the contractually qualitative level defined and capable to satisfy the requirements of the customer and, similarly to the operational processes, even safer and eco-friendly, in line with the needs of the market and with the aim to minimize environmental impacts and protect workers' health and safety.

The guarantee of a safe working environment, respecting the health and the environment itself, it is a continuous commitment of Intermarine. This commitment is addressed to the employees, the suppliers, neighboring communities, the customers and all the people who are interested into the activities carried out by the Company.

In order to achieve these commitments, Intermarine applies an Integrated Quality, Environment and Safety Management System, compliant with the requirements of ISO 9001, AQAP 2110, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 , promoting the following activities:

  • to guarantee that the requirements of each product are first of all appropriately defined during the acquisition of the contract and subsequently achieved and maintained at each stage of the implementation process, such as the design, procurement of materials and components, construction and outfitting, final test, delivery and support during the warranty period;
  • to guarantee compliance with all applicable environmental and safety laws and regulations as well as the necessary standards to provide adequate protection to safeguard, with the greatest possible rigor, the community, the workplace and the environment;
  • to effectively prevent all possible forms of pollution, accidents and professional diseases events through evaluation of the uoutputs coming from a dedicated analysis and statistics on the accidents;
  • to formulate procedures to deal with emergency situations and reply promptly, effectively and with attention to any accidents or emergencies related to the work activity;
  • to identify the significant environmental aspects linked to the activities carried out which can be kept under control by Intermarine, considering, when possible, an approach according to the life cycle perspective;
  • to train staff involved into the activities which have influence into the compliance to the requirements of the product, related to the management of environmental aspects and which imply risks to the physical integrity of the worker, by implementing a specific annual training plan. The commitment shown in the areas of quality, safety, health and environmental protection will be part of the personnel evaluation criteria;
  • to improve the relationship with the territory with regard to relevant stakeholders (customers, suppliers, authorities, residents);
  • to research Continuous Improvement, through the involvement of every employee, external supplier or partner of the company, through the measurement of the business processes performances and the evaluation of the results obtained based on the objectives defined during the Management Review.

The Management therefore guarantees their commitment and lead to share its Policy to all stakeholders, to train, create awareness and to empower their employees and partners to ensure that company business processes are managed appropriately to obtain better results in terms of quality, respect for the environment and the health and safety of workers.
